2000
After graduating from TAFE & QANTM (Diploma Multimedia) I was chosen out of 60+ students to fill a position in QANTM’s creative studio.
2002
Whilst working in QANTM Studios, I was a Visual Designer and HTML Developer in the team that created the ANTA Animation Toolbox that won Best eLearning Product at the Asia Pacific ICT Awards.
2009
Visual Designer and HTML Developer on the Comedy Central UK brand launch when rebranding from Paramount Comedy.
2012
Lead Visual Designer creating visually engaging backgrounds for ITV's biggest show sites – I'm a Celebrity Get Me Out of Here, Downton Abbey, The X Factor, Dancing on Ice and many more – viewed by millions of fans.
2013
Lead UX and Visual Designer on the ITV Mobile App (IOS & Android) which topped Apple’s App Store’s Charts beating all other UK channel players – including the BBC & Netflix!
This was ITV’s first SVOD service to provide an industry-first ad-free subscription tier on iOS. It was also the UK’s first mobile application to provide long-form video content to portable devices with the inclusion of dynamic pre and mid-roll advertising; including HLS media delivery to iOS handsets.
The applications now account for 25% of all VoD viewing for ITV. With over 1.5 million unique monthly users and over 4 million downloads, the iOS app ranks as the 2nd most downloaded app on iPad in the UK, since iPad launch.
2020
Working with an elephant charity – eleCREW – in Zimbabwe, I was instrumental in the development of ‘Through the Eyes of an Elephant’ – an immersive, educational experience initially designed for tourists to replace elephant riding.
When the pandemic stopped all tourism for 2 years we instead used that time and the same program to educate locals affected by Human-Elephant conflict, in the hope of preventing additional deaths.
eleCREW plays a unique and active role in promoting coexistence and conservation through their Community, Research, Education and Welfare programs.
